Thulmir's Retirement Package is a text-based adventure where you play as Thulmir, a world-famous ranger nearing the end of his career. On his final adventure, he encounters something he never expected to see in the forests near his hometown...

To start the game, click "play in browser" on the start page. At each turn during play, you will be prompted to enter a command. There are only a few commands required to play this game. For movement, type n, s, e, or w to move in the cardinal directions. Type examine [object or person to examine] to get a description of said thing (the identifier of said thing should be fairly obvious). There is also an "ask [person] about [thing]" command, which is probably the strangest to use, but when in doubt, ask anyone about anything. Lastly, there is an "attack [object or person]" command which, you guessed it, commands Thumir to attack whatever it might be. When in doubt, attack things and you might get hints as to what you should be doing. Next, the "look" command will give you a description of your current surroundings. Lastly, take note that you start with a crossbow and sleeping potion in your inventory. To use the sleeping potion, use the command "drop potion."
